Maternity Session: Celeste and Ricot | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Last weekend, I had the great opportunity to shoot Celeste and Ricot’s maternity session.  The two are expecting a baby this month, and it’s going to be a surprise whether they welcome a baby girl or a baby boy into the world.  I really admire their willpower; there’s no way I would be able to wait 9 months to know what I was having!  (It’s possible that I was the kid who gently unwrapped my Christmas gifts a few days early, took a little peek, and re-wrapped them before anyone was the wiser.)  Of course, the most important thing is to have a healthy baby, regardless of whether you are dressing it in cute dresses or bowties.

I always get a little nervous when I first meet someone.  Even though I can be quite chatty, at times, I am a bit shy.  But, as soon as I met Celeste and Ricot, I knew that we were going to hit it off.  They were so warm and friendly, and we actually had a few things in common.  I was amazed at how comfortable they were in front of the camera.  So much so that I had to stop and ask them if they take pictures together regularly.  They told me that they took wedding photos, but that was about it.  Really?!  Get outta here!

As always, I took a few shots of Celeste by herself.  She looked absolutely beautiful.  (Celeste, I still want that dress.)

At various points throughout the day, I felt like I was shooting an engagement session instead of a maternity session.  They were so loving towards each other.

Finally, we made our way to our last location.  I love folks who laugh easily.

I’ll end with one of my favorite shots from the session.  I love a little quiet romance.

Congratulations, Celeste and Ricot!  Thanks for allowing me to document this special moment in your lives.
