Earlier this spring, I had the opportunity to photograph two wonderful dancers through the Serenbe Photography Center. I’ve been waiting for a few moments to properly edit these photos. (I’ve been busy these past couple of months shooting events.) Hanging around the dancers, I was reminded of my days dancing in high school. Granted, I was nowhere near their caliber, but I still had fun showcasing my art! You can tell that these dancers truly enjoy the art of dance, too.

First up is Laura! I loved how serene and peaceful Laura remained throughout the day, even with a bunch of unknown photographers having their paparazzi moment. I was amazed at how long she was able to stay en pointe while the photographers found the perfect angle for our shots.

The other really great thing about Laura was how gracious she was when complimented. Whenever someone complimented her on her beauty or poise, Laura lit up and simply said, “Thank you.”

During a shoot, I love to experiment with light and shadows. This is one of my favorite series from the shoot.

We also took a few moments to shoot outside in the sun, where we found a beautiful field of flowers and a bridge.

I had such a great time working with Laura! I can’t wait to share some images of her friend in the next blog post. But for now, here is a sneak peek…

Kimberly, these images are gorgeous! Your angles and editing beautifully compliment the grace of the dancers. Wonderful work!
