Food Fridays: Sublime Doughnuts

Sublime Doughnuts.  I don’t think I’ve ever visited a place more aptly named.  And visit them I do!  Unfortunately, I always get a craving right after I finish my Gyrotonics training at Core Atlanta.  But, I make myself feel better by thinking that I deserve a little treat after such a great workout!  LOL.  What I love about Sublime is that their doughnuts are so soft and taste super fresh.  You can tell that they only use the finest ingredients.  Another plus is their take on some classic flavors as well as their unique flavors.  For example, the A-Town Cream doughnut (pictured below) is Sublime’s version of a bostom cream doughnut.  They also add some special toppings to send some of their doughnuts over the top, such as the Butter Toffee doughnut pictured below…yum!  My absolute favorite is the Yin Yang Twist; you don’t see it here because I always eat it before I even get out the parking lot.  And I recently tried the Frosted Croissant, which is slowly creeping up to top my list.  I think I should swing by Sublime today just to be sure that the Croissant hasn’t bypassed the Yin Yang yet. ;-)  What’s your favorite?

If you decide you want to check them out (and really, why wouldn’t you?), keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays. But, if you are ever in Bangkok (yes, as in Thailand), they’ve got you covered Monday thru Sunday!  While you are there, try Sublime Doughnuts’ Love Potion or Cool Potion teas.  How cute is that packaging?!

My favorite is the red velvet cake doughnut. It is SO good! I haven’t tried the Yin Yang twist yet, but that will be next on my list :)

Ooh…red velvet…that SOUNDS good. I’ve got my eye on the white chocolate one. Let me know how you like the Yin Yang Twist after you give it a try!
