Happy New Year! One of the great things about 2014 is that it offers an opportunity to start fresh. What better way to do that than to switch up your look a bit? For a couple of years now, I’ve longed for a logo that really speaks to who I am as a photographer. Initially, I enlisted the services of a graphic designer that I learned about from a fellow photographer, but the final result didn’t really resonate with me. So, I never used the logo widely or on my blog. In the meantime, I kept a running list of graphic designers whose work I admired. Over the summer, I finally bit the bullet and hired Jane Johnson Photography and Design, and I am so glad that I did! After sending Jane my completed logo questionnaire and link to the inspiration board I put together on Pinterest, she set off to design my logo. There were some tweaks here and there so that we could come up with a logo that I love…and we did…and I do…love it, that is! Below is the final branding board that includes my logo and watermark, color scheme, and some images from my Pinterest board that inspired the final design. The visual aspect of my new brand totally reflects my business and photography; it is clean, fresh, and bright. Yay! I can’t wait to share some other exciting changes in 2014, including the addition of motion (i.e., video). I hope your year is off to a great start, too!
