I’ve been on a roll lately trying out new recipes. Last week, I made spaghetti sauce from scratch (with the help of the Pioneer Woman and my husband’s cousin, Earl) and chicken, bacon, swiss sandwiches. Over the weekend, I finally decided to try Joy the Baker’s Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Croissants. My husband and I decided that all three are keepers that will go into the rotation.
Joy the Baker is hands-down my favorite food blogger. I love her voice (well…blog voice), and her recipes always look so good! I pre-ordered her cookbook “Homemade Decadence” when it was announced, and quickly marked the Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Croissants as the first recipe to try, since it looked super easy. (Find a similar recipe here or find the exact recipe in her book.) Thankfully, it was! They taste really great hot out of the oven and equally tasty room temperature the next day. I just need to figure out how to make sure that the inside of the croissant (brushed with egg and covered in chocolate bits) cooks, too. So, if you have any tips, please let me know in the comments. What recipes have you decided are keepers?
